As we transition from the depths of winter into the blooming month of March, it’s a wonderful time to reflect on our growth, awaken our minds and bodies, and embrace a renewed version of ourselves. Here’s a quick 60-second guide to help you reset, manage stress, and step into the month with courage and purpose:

Intentions and Reflections:

As you journey through this guide, think about the new energies you want to bring into your life this month. Consider:

  • What steps can you take to courageously embrace change and new opportunities?
  • How can you open your mind to new perspectives and possibilities?
  • What positive habits and thoughts can you cultivate to support your growth and transition?
  • How can you honor and nurture the awakening of your mind and spirit?

Step-by-Step Guide:

  1. Ground Yourself: Sit comfortably with your feet flat on the ground. Close your eyes and take a moment to feel connected to the earth beneath you.
  2. Deep Breathing: Begin with deep breathing. Inhale deeply through your nose, hold for a few seconds, and exhale slowly through your mouth. Repeat this for a few breaths to center yourself.
  3. Neck Rolls: Gently roll your neck in a circular motion. First, roll clockwise, then counterclockwise. This helps to release tension and awaken the muscles in your neck.
  4. Shoulder Shrugs: Lift your shoulders up towards your ears and then release them down. Repeat this a few times to release shoulder tension.
  5. Seated Forward Bend: While seated, bend forward from the hips and let your arms dangle towards the floor. This stretch helps to awaken your spine and release tension in your back.
  6. Seated Cat-Cow Stretch: Place your hands on your knees. As you inhale, arch your back and look up (Cow Pose). As you exhale, round your spine and tuck your chin to your chest (Cat Pose). Repeat a few times to awaken your spine.
  7. Wrist Circles: Extend your arms in front of you and make circular motions with your wrists. First, circle in one direction, then reverse. This helps to awaken the joints in your wrists.
  8. Finger Stretch: Stretch each finger and hand gently to release any tension. This simple stretch can help in feeling more grounded.
  9. Mindful Observation: With your eyes still closed, take a moment to observe any sensations in your body. Notice any areas of tension or relaxation, and tune into the physical sensations you are experiencing.
  10. Reflection: Conclude by reflecting on how your body feels after this practice. Take a few deep breaths and open your eyes, feeling renewed and awakened.
