“How can I be grateful for my financial results right now when my business isn’t doing as well as I hoped?” asked my perplexed client, frustration evident in her voice.
“Wouldn’t I just perpetuate the problem if I focused on being grateful for the lack of results?”
“It’s all about your focus,” I replied. “When you focus on the glass being half empty, you reinforce that state of emptiness. But when you shift your focus to what’s half full, you magnetically attract more of the good,” I assured her.
The Magnetism of Focus: Attracting What You Want
Quantum physics teaches us that we are vibrational beings, and our thoughts carry energy. They act like magnets for what we create in our lives and thus dictate the results we get. Focusing on lack keeps you in a state of scarcity, but shifting your attention to small wins—no matter how minor—creates a positive energetic shift. Gratitude amplifies the good, and when you consistently recognize what’s going well, you start to attract more of it.
In my Unlock Your Success mentorship programs, I teach clients how to tap into this magnetic power through focused daily practices that direct their attention to what’s already working. It’s not just about recognizing achievements; it’s about changing the way you see yourself.
When you consistently highlight your wins, you start believing that success is not only possible but inevitable.
Think of it like this: when you regularly acknowledge your progress, your brain gets hooked on success and starts craving more. Let’s say you’re dreading following up with prospects. You plan to make 20 calls but give up after just one. Most entrepreneurs would feel defeated—no follow-ups, no sales, just pure frustration. But if you stop and praise yourself for that one call, for having a great conversation with a client, you’re way more likely to pick up the phone again tomorrow. Instead of telling yourself, “I’m a failure because I only made one call,” try saying, “I’m a champ. I had a fantastic conversation, it felt good connecting with her, and I’m excited for tomorrow’s calls.” I bet you’ll feel more motivated to take action the next day! Be grateful for that one phone call—it might just be the launchpad you need to build momentum and turn future follow-ups into meaningful connections, new clients, and growing sales.
When Gratitude Feels Impossible
I know how difficult it can be to focus on gratitude when things aren’t going as planned. You’re aiming for your business to race ahead like a Ferrari, but instead, it feels like you’re stuck in a Ford Focus—crawling along, far from the speed and thrill you were hoping for.
The results aren’t coming in, and all you see is a mountain of effort with little to no return on investment. Trust me, I’ve been there—questioning my sanity, my ability to succeed, and feeling weighed down by mounting obstacles.
In those moments, I had to do a hard check-in with myself: Where was my mind going? What was I really paying attention to? Was I noticing the progress—even if tiny—or was I dwelling on the setbacks, missing the subtle victories that could help me move forward?
It’s easy to dismiss small wins when we’re fixated on the bigger picture.
“I only enrolled one person in my program,” one of my clients complained recently. “It feels like nothing’s working.”
Let’s take a step back for a moment,” I replied. “How many people did you talk to?”
“Three,” she replied, clearly deflated.
“Exactly! You had three conversations, and one person signed on—that’s a one-in-three conversion! Imagine if you keep up that momentum! Those numbers will add up faster than you think,” I assured her.
As we reframed her thinking, I saw her shoulders relax, and for the first time in weeks, she smiled. What had felt like a failure now became a win she could build on. It was like a weight had been lifted, and she felt excited about her progress and the possibilities of gaining more clients.
Ultimately, what you focus on is what you get.
Shifting your attention to even the smallest victories allows you to see the growth that’s already happening, and with that shift comes more opportunities.
The Rosy Glasses Effect: Seeing Opportunities Amid Challenges
There’s a concept of wearing “rosy glasses,” and while it might not always seem practical in business, there’s a deeper truth to it. Keeping a positive mindset doesn’t mean ignoring challenges, but it does mean staying open to possibilities.
When I felt defeated in my business, anxious and disappointed with my results, I made a conscious decision to shift my focus to what was going right—even in the tough times. I’d pull out a piece of paper and write down every accomplishment from the last 30 days. And guess what? As soon as I truly appreciated what I had achieved so far, my energy changed, and suddenly, opportunities that had been invisible before began to appear.
When you focus on gratitude, you essentially put on those metaphorical “rosy glasses.” You start to see the hidden potential in your circumstances.
Beyond the blocks
My clients often come to me feeling overwhelmed by obstacles, but as we work together to shift their focus and recognize what they’ve already achieved, they begin to experience profound transformations.
A key part of my Unlock Your Success programs is helping clients reprogram their self-perception by releasing disempowering beliefs, moving beyond self-limiting stories, and rewiring how they see their potential for wealth and success.
Through various simple daily practices, like recalling three positive things each day or creating a “success treasure chest,” they begin to change how they see themselves and expand their sense of what they’re capable of. As a result, they wake up energized, confident, and ready to conquer the world.
This transformation is rooted in my Triple Quantum Reset™ modality, which resets the mind, behaviors, and emotional alignment simultaneously. By addressing these three core areas, my clients experience quantum leaps in their confidence, productivity, and ability to manifest their goals.
The Thanksgiving Mindset: Turning Small Wins into Big Successes
As we approach Thanksgiving, it’s the perfect time to reflect on the power of gratitude. This tradition, rooted in appreciation for abundance and the good around us, mirrors how we should approach our entrepreneurial journeys. When we take time to acknowledge and be thankful for even the smallest victories, we cultivate a mindset that fuels bigger successes.
Gratitude isn’t about ignoring the challenges we face. It’s about recognizing the good amidst the difficulties and understanding that success often builds on small, incremental steps.
This Thanksgiving, I encourage you to adopt a gratitude mindset not just in your personal life but in your business as well. It’s a practice that has transformed my clients, and it can transform you, too.
Your Daily Gratitude Practice: Unlocking the Path to Abundance
One of the most powerful practices you can incorporate into your daily routine is reflecting on three successes at the end of each day. This exercise may seem elemental, but it’s incredibly effective because it helps my clients reframe how they view themselves and what they’re capable of achieving.
The wins you focus on don’t need to be monumental. Maybe you completed a task you’d been putting off (accounting, anyone?) or finally responded to a client inquiry that had been sitting in your inbox for weeks. It all counts! The key is to focus on progress and growth, no matter how minor it may seem.
Here are some journaling prompts to guide your daily gratitude practice:
- What are three things that went well today?
- How did I contribute to these successes, no matter how small?
- What opportunities can I see emerging from these positive moments?
This practice, when done consistently, trains your mind to seek out, confirm, and amplify the good, setting you up for more opportunities and abundance in the future.
Over time, it rewires your subconscious, shifting your self-perception and expanding your sense of what’s possible.
By implementing tailored subconscious reprogramming techniques, my clients not only transform how they see themselves but also break through the limits of what they once believed was achievable. No longer weighed down by scarcity thinking, they wake up each day energized and focused, able to fully harness their potential.
Gratitude isn’t just a feel-good practice—it’s a game-changer. And when combined with focus and the right mindset tools, it can unlock a level of success you’ve only dreamed of.
